Bounce Dryer Sheets

Bounce dryer sheets repel mosquitoes. I researched it on the web and I think I heard about it somewhere else. Really good information for people who are outside a lot.

Tuesday's Meeting

On Tuesday we were able to have a meeting that dealt mainly with packing. We learned that if you want to avoid mosquitoes to put Bounce sheets in your rooms. Or it just might be some really powerful room freshener. All my experience with camping and efficient packing will come in handy when it comes to packing my gear in my backpack. Also I think I will really enjoy the drivers. The ones that drive the bus are serious when it comes to being on time and regular drivers push things to the limit. (When I personally drive I am either at or below the posted speed limit.)

I'm back

Hello,
Late last night I got back from Journey to the Heart. It was a great time of getting to know God better. Several important things I got out of the Journey. first I need to read God's Word more and really chew on it. I also learned the importance of "entertaining" God in our prayers and how powerful prayer can be. As usual, the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP) provided a program that I would recommend to others.

I will be gone for a while

I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be out of town without computer access. So if you think I stopped blogging, no, I am just away. Expect blog posts either May 2nd or May 3rd.

Russia Meeting

On Tuesday day night we held a meeting. We were able to discuss our theme. A really popular idea was "Purpose" or "Run for the prize." Then t-shirt ideas flew around the room. We were also able to find out that our plane tickets were reserved. We were also warned that if we backed out at this time we owed them for the tickets, we were warned in a very kind, joking way, but there was a serious undertone. We even discussed team building which I will talk about later.

God's Blessings

It has been amazing what God has been doing. Odd jobs and stamp orders have been coming in quickly like a wave. On Friday I was able to clean our neighbor's gutters. After doing the gutters I still wonder why people hate cleaning the gutters. It's a chance to get up really high and use a hose. Actually during the job one of my brothers and our neighbor got out the water balloons. I held back totally soaking them although I managed to get my hands on a few balloons myself. I managed to send off the letter Coleman, now all I have to do is wait for a reply.

Writing a Letter to Coleman

Next project on my list is to write to Coleman Camping Equipment to see if they would be willing to donate compasses for the children. The compasses could help them navigate a "race" containing activities that will illustrate Bible lessons. I guess the whole orienteering course is up my alley since I Geocache and did a little bit of letterboxing.
